City Church of Mississauga Networking

Derk and Annita Maat are the contact persons for city church networking.  Meadowvale has a number of strong relationships with other Mississauga / Oakville congregations and ministries in the area including 228 Chartwell Baptist in Oakville, Mississauga Chartwell Baptist, Eden United, Joshua Creek, Freedom Centre and Transformation Prayer Ministries and others.  Contact is through the pastors of the various churches, and through intercessory prayer meetings, the Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast and relationships.  The networking with other congregations in Mississauga / Oakville has somewhat diminished in the last year.  We need more people to connect and join in the drawing together the Body of Christ in the area so that together we can be a much stronger salt and light in the community.  Please call Derk or Annita if you are interested in participating in any way.

9th Line Task Force

The Community Christian Reformed Church of Meadowvale has owned 7.5 acres of land on the 9th line for the last 15 years.  The church has established a Task Force to explore ways to co-develop the land with others groups in the City of Mississauga fro affordable housing, community service and some form of a church presence.  Progress is being made in rezoning the land and another group in the city has expressed interest in partnering with us.  Derk Maat is the chair of the Task Force which consists of a team of 5 - 6 persons.  Your prayers and support for this exciting initiative are much needed.
